X-ray imaging is a widely used diagnostic imaging technique that uses low-dose radiation to produce detailed images of structures inside the body. Diagnostic X-rays are commonly used to evaluate bone fractures, joint dislocations, and other musculoskeletal conditions, as well as to assess the heart, lungs, and abdominal organs for abnormalities. X-ray exams are quick, noninvasive, and play a critical role in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
When you arrive at MMI for your X-ray exam, our experienced imaging team will guide you through the process to ensure your comfort and safety. Depending on the type of X-ray being performed, you may be asked to change into a gown and remove jewelry or metal objects that could interfere with image quality. X-ray images may be taken while you are standing, sitting, or lying down, and you will be asked to remain still briefly while images are captured.
