About the Exam

What Is X-Ray Imaging?

X-Ray uses a small amount of ionizing radiation to create detailed images of bones and internal structures. It is one of the most widely used diagnostic imaging tools, often requested as the first step when your doctor needs a clear picture of what is happening inside your body.

Bone Injuries & Fractures
Detect broken bones, stress fractures, and joint abnormalities across the body.
Chest & Lung Conditions
Assess the lungs, heart size, and rib cage, and screen for pneumonia or other lung conditions.
Arthritis & Joint Assessment
Evaluate joint space narrowing, bone spurs, and signs of degenerative joint disease.
Abdominal Imaging
Detect intestinal blockages, certain kidney stones, and gas patterns indicating underlying issues.
Spine & Posture
Assess alignment, disc space, and vertebral structure for physiotherapy or specialist referrals.
Pre-Operative Imaging
Establish a baseline image of bones, lungs, or other structures before surgery or procedures.
