MRI

Advanced imaging for detailed evaluation of soft tissues, joints, organs, and the nervous system

Is MRI Right for You?

MRI is commonly used to evaluate soft tissues, joints, the spine, and internal organs. Your physician can determine whether MRI is appropriate based on your symptoms and medical history.

MRI Appointments & Referrals

MRI exams require a valid physician referral. Availability and exam types may vary, and our booking team will confirm eligibility and scheduling details at the time of booking.

What is an MRI

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is a diagnostic imaging exam that uses a strong magnetic field and radiofrequency waves to produce detailed images of structures inside the body. MRI is particularly useful for evaluating soft tissues, joints, the brain, spine, and internal organs.

MRI does not use ionizing radiation and provides high-resolution images that assist physicians in diagnosis, treatment planning, and ongoing care.

What to Expect During Your MRI Exam

During your MRI exam, you will lie on a padded table that moves into the MRI scanner. It is important to remain still while images are being acquired to ensure image quality. The scanner produces loud tapping or knocking sounds during the exam, and hearing protection will be provided.

MRI exams are painless. Some patients may experience a feeling of confinement, and our staff will review the procedure with you beforehand and maintain communication throughout the exam.

MRI Exams Are Commonly Used To:

Evaluate joints, muscles, ligaments, and soft tissues

Assess the brain, spine, and nervous system

Examine abdominal and pelvic organs

Detect inflammation, injury, tumors, or disease

Support diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up

MRI provides detailed cross-sectional images that are not visible with X-ray or ultrasound imaging.
